Manage a campaign from a dashboard

Adjust certain campaign elements—like budgets and bid prices—directly from a dashboard.

Campaign management overview

You’ll use the dashboards you create in the Dashboard app to track your campaigns’ progress and performance. You can also save time by adjusting certain campaign elements—like budgets and bid prices—directly from these dashboards.

Manage a campaign’s budget from a dashboard

You can change your campaigns’ total and daily budgets from a dashboard. Note that budgets are editable for budget-based campaigns, but not for impression-based ones.

Change a campaign’s total budget

Set, Add, or Split: When you change a campaign’s total budget from a dashboard, you’ll choose whether to Set, Add, or Split the new value. Refer to Key terms and concepts - Set, add, split for more information on these options.

You can update total budgets individually or in bulk.

Change total budgets one by one

Follow these steps to update a campaign’s total budget:

  1. Double-click the cell in the desired campaign’s Total Budget column.

  2. Enter the new value.

  3. Select the checkmark icon. This will open the Set Total Budget pop-up window.

  4. Review the most recent total budget and the new total budget you’ve entered.

  5. Click Set to apply your changes.

Change total budgets in bulk

Follow these steps to update the total budgets of multiple campaigns:

  1. Select the checkbox(es) next to the campaign(s).

  2. Click Total Budget from the Set Budget menu. This will open the Change Total Budget pop-up window.

  3. Enter the new value in the New Total Budget field.

  4. Select = Set, + Add, or ÷ Split, depending on how you’d like to apply the new total budget to the campaign(s).

    1. You must select more than one campaign for the ÷ Split option to appear in the Change Total Budget pop-up window.

  5. Select Change to apply your edits.

Change a campaign’s daily budget

You can update daily budgets individually or in bulk.

Change daily budgets one by one

Follow these steps to update a campaign’s daily budget:

  1. Double-click the cell in the desired campaign’s Daily Budget column.

  2. Enter the new value.

  3. Select the checkmark icon. This will open the Set Daily Budget pop-up window.

  4. Review the most recent daily budget and the new daily budget you’ve entered.

  5. Click Set to apply your changes.

Change daily budgets in bulk

Follow these steps to update the daily budgets of multiple campaigns:

  1. Select the checkbox(es) next to the campaign(s).

  2. Click Daily Budget from the Set Budget menu. This will open the Change Daily Budget pop-up window.

  3. Enter the new value in the New Daily Budget field.

  4. Select Change to apply your edits.

Manage a campaign’s Max Bid Price and Min Bid Price from a dashboard

You can change campaigns’ Max Bid Prices and Min Bid Prices individually or in bulk.

Change bid prices one by one

Follow these steps to update a campaign’s bid price:

  1. Double-click the cell in the desired campaign’s Max Bid Price or Min Bid Price column.

  2. Enter the new value.

  3. Select the checkmark icon. This will open the Set Max Bid Price or Set Min Bid Price pop-up window, depending on the column you chose.

  4. Review the most recent bid price and the new bid price you’ve entered.

  5. Click Set to apply your changes.

Change bid prices in bulk

  1. Select the checkbox(es) next to the campaign(s).

  2. Click Max Bid Price or Min Bid Price from the Set Budget menu. This will open the Set Max Bid Price or Set Min Bid Price pop-up window, depending on the bid-price type you chose.

  3. Enter the new value in the Max Bid or Min Bid field.

  4. Select Set to apply your edits.

Change a campaign’s name from a dashboard

Follow these steps to edit an existing campaign’s name directly from a dashboard:

  1. Double-click the cell in the desired campaign’s Campaign Name column.

  2. Enter the new name.

  3. Select the checkmark icon to apply your changes.

Pause a campaign from a dashboard

Follow these steps to pause campaigns individually or in bulk:

  1. Open an existing dashboard, if desired.

  2. Search or filter the dashboard to locate the campaign(s) you’d like to pause.

  3. Select the checkbox(es) next to the campaign(s).

  4. Click Pause to temporarily stop ad serving for the campaign(s).

Edit a campaign from a dashboard

You can edit one campaign at a time. Follow these steps to edit a campaign:

  1. Open an existing dashboard, if desired.

  2. Search or filter the dashboard to locate the campaign you’d like to update.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the campaign.

  4. Click Edit from the Actions menu. This will redirect you to the Edit Campaign workflow in the Campaigns app, where you can apply and save any changes.

Apply Bid Model settings to a campaign from a dashboard

You can adjust bids with Bid Modifiers, allocate budgets with Spend Ratios, and add/edit/shift priorities with Dimension Priorities to optimize performance across certain campaign dimensions.

Refer to Bid Model overview for more information on which dimensions are supported, and how to apply Bid Model settings to them directly from the Dashboard app.

Change a campaign’s end date from a dashboard

Follow these steps to change campaign end dates individually or in bulk:

  1. Open an existing dashboard, if desired.

  2. Search or filter the dashboard to locate the campaign(s) you’d like to update.

  3. Select the checkbox(es) next to the campaign(s).

  4. Click Set End Date from the Actions menu. This will open the Change End Date pop-up window.

  5. Choose a new end date for the campaign(s).

  6. Click Change to save your edits.

Duplicate a campaign from a dashboard

Follow these steps to duplicate campaigns individually or in bulk:

  1. Open an existing dashboard, if desired.

  2. Search or filter the dashboard to locate the campaign you’d like to duplicate.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the campaign.

  4. Click Duplicate from the Actions menu. This will open the Duplicate Campaign pop-up window.

  5. Choose the campaign’s insertion order (IO).

  6. Set the campaign’s start and end dates.

After you select Duplicate, your duplicated campaign gets added to the IO as a draft. You’ll still need to review and activate it in the Campaigns app, if desired.

Delete a campaign from a dashboard

Campaign deletion notice: Selecting Delete will permanently delete the campaign and all of its settings. Refer to Create or manage a dashboard if you’d like to simply remove a campaign from a particular dashboard view instead. The resource includes steps on how to change an existing dashboard’s filters and settings, or create a new dashboard.

Follow these steps to delete existing campaigns individually or in bulk:

  1. Open an existing dashboard, if desired.

  2. Search or filter the dashboard to locate the campaign(s) you’d like to delete.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the campaign(s).

  4. Click Delete from the Actions menu. This will open the Delete Campaign? pop-up window.

  5. Confirm your selection to permanently delete the campaign(s).
