Campaigns overview
Campaigns are the individual marketing strategies that define how you’ll serve ads, when those ads will be served, and where they’ll be placed. They contain a set of targeting parameters, an ad format and versions, bidding strategies, and any other targeting settings that you specify. Refer to Campaigns overview for more details, or continue reading to create a new campaign or manage an existing one.
Note that you’ll need to assign the new campaign to an existing insertion order (IO) at the time of campaign creation. Refer to these resources to create an IO if you haven’t yet completed this step:
Create a new campaign
More on running a campaign: Note that a campaign doesn’t immediately begin spending and serving when you choose to Run it. First, the campaign will undergo a review process to confirm that it meets certain requirements. You’ll know when a campaign is approved when its status changes from Pending to Running. We’ll also notify you via email.
Refer to Campaigns frequently asked questions (FAQs) for campaign-status definitions, and go to Review campaigns to learn how to check a campaign’s current status. |
You can create a new campaign in the following ways:
Note that you’ll be prompted to select an IO when you enter your campaign’s details. You must select a budget-based insertion order (IO) if the campaign will have a monetary budget, or an impression-based IO if the campaign will have an impression budget. Refer to Budget-based and impression-based insertion order (IO) for more information on the differences between them.
