Use Vera’s chat-based interface to create a new Segmented audience and assign it to campaigns.

Segmented audience overview

Segmented audiences include groups of users who share similar traits. You’ll add segments or groups of segments to the audience to reach that unique group of users. These audiences can be highly specific or more broad, depending on your campaign’s goals and your scale considerations. For example, you might include empty nesters who love hiking, or doctors specializing in pediatrics.

Create a Segmented audience with Vera

Follow these steps to create a new Segmented audience with Vera:

  1. Open the Vera app.

  2. Select Audiences.

  3. Use the chat box to ask Vera to create a new Segmented audience.

    1. Describe the audience’s characteristics such as the type of segments you’d like to add (e.g., age 25-40 females interested in fitness who made at least one purchase in the past 60 days).

    2. No need to include everything–Vera will prompt you to enter your preferences if you’ve missed any details.

  4. Click the submit button. This will redirect you to a new conversation with Vera.

  5. Review each audience’s draft details.

    1. Check the included Segment Groups and individual segments.

    2. Check the estimated reach and cost of each audience.

    3. Note that one partner is supported per audience.

  6. For each audience, define the relationship between Segment Groups.

    1. Refer to Segments Groups and relationships for more information on how these audience settings are executed.

  7. Chat with Vera to add or remove any segments or Segment groups for each desired audience.

  8. Select the checkbox(es) next to the audience(s) you’d like to create.

  9. Click Generate Audience.

Vera will immediately begin processing the Segmented audience(s).

Review a Segmented audience with Vera

Follow these steps to review a Segmented audience with Vera:

  1. Select View Audience. This will open a pop-up window featuring audience details such as its creation date, data partner, CPM cost, and more.

  2. Click Close to close the pop-up window and return to your conversation with Vera.

Assign a Segmented audience to a campaign with Vera

Follow these steps to assign a Segmented audience to a campaign with Vera:

  1. Select Attach To Campaign.

    1. You can also use the chat box to tell Vera that you’d like to assign it.

  2. Open the Browse existing campaigns menu.

  3. Select the desired campaign(s).

  4. Click Submit.
