Multi-context chats overview

Vera can handle several workflows in a single chat. For example, you can create a campaign, build an audience for it, generate a report, and ask a product question without starting a new conversation. Vera keeps each workflow’s details separate, so you can move between them and pick up where you left off.

The following workflows are supported in a multi-context chat:

  • Campaigns

  • Audiences (Matched, Segmented, Contextual, Geofarmed)

  • Custom reports

  • Data dashboards

  • Product questions

Vera keeps track of your workflows for the duration of your chat session.

Refer to Vera overview for more information about Vera’s capabilities.

Start another workflow in the same chat

Follow these steps to start a new workflow in a chat you’re already using:

  1. Locate an existing chat, or continue in your current chat.

  2. Use the input box to tell Vera what you’d like to do next, such as “Now help me create an audience.”

    1. When you finish a workflow, Vera marks it Task completed and suggests next steps you can select instead.

  3. Follow Vera’s prompts to complete the new workflow.

Vera adds the new workflow to the summary panel and keeps your earlier workflows in Workflow history. Refer to Track your work for more information.

Build on earlier work: Vera can use details from earlier in the chat. For example, after you create a campaign, you can ask for a report and Vera will scope it to that campaign.

Switch between or resume workflows

You can move between workflows at any time without losing your progress. Use the input box to tell Vera which workflow you’d like to work on.

  • Refer to a workflow by name. For example, “Now continue the Pfizer campaign.”

  • Resume where you left off. For example, “Continue where we left off.”

If your request could apply to more than one workflow, Vera will ask which one you mean before continuing.

You can also select any workflow in Workflow history to resume it. Refer to Resume a workflow from Workflow history for step-by-step instructions.

Ask a product question during a workflow

You can ask Vera a product question at any point in a chat, such as how a feature works or what a setting means. Vera searches the Help Center and answers in the same chat, and your workflows stay as you left them.

Track your work

The summary panel on the right side of the chat shows the workflow you’re working on now, and Workflow history lists the other workflows in the chat.

Track the active workflow in the summary panel

The top of the summary panel shows the workflow that’s active now and how many of its details you’ve provided, for example, Campaign Creation, Active, and “3 of 8 details collected.” Each detail is checked off as you provide it.

Once you create the item, such as a campaign, the summary panel shows its name and a View button you can select to review it.

Resume a workflow from Workflow history

Workflow history groups the workflows in a chat into two lists:

  • Pending: Workflows that still need a next step from you.

  • Done: Workflows where your part is finished. Each item also shows its current status in the IQM platform. For example, a campaign you sent for approval appears in Done with a Pending status until it’s approved.

Follow these steps to resume a workflow from Workflow history:

  1. Open the Pending or Done list below the summary panel.

  2. Locate the desired workflow.

    1. Search by name or ID.

    2. Browse the groups: Campaigns, Audience, Reports, and Dashboard.

  3. Select the workflow to resume it and pick up where you left off.
