Campaign audience overview
Campaign audiences are made up of users that you’ve reached in past or current campaigns. Campaigns targeting a Campaign audience may lead to higher conversion rates and better ROI since its users are already familiar with the brand and may be more likely to take action.
Refer to Campaign audience overview for more information and eligibility requirements, or continue reading to create and manage a Campaign audience in the IQM platform.
Create a Campaign audience
You can create one Campaign audience at a time in the Audiences app. Follow these steps to create a new Campaign audience:
Open the Audiences app.
Select Campaign Audience.
Click + Create New. This will open the Create Campaign Audience pop-up window.
Enter a name for the audience.
Choose a Start Date and End Date to define the audience’s data collection period.
Any Start Date within the past year, excluding today, is supported.
Your selection will limit which audiences are available in the Campaigns menu.
Open the Campaigns menu and select the existing campaign(s) from which the Campaign audience will source its users.
For each selected campaign, choose one criteria that the new Campaign audience will consider: Impressions, Clicks, or Conversions.
Refer to Campaign audience overview: Key terms and concepts for more details.
Click Create.
Your Campaign audience will immediately begin processing. You can monitor its current status by following the steps outlined in Review a Campaign audience.
Manage a Campaign audience
Use the Campaign Audience page of the Audiences app to review, search, sort, or filter your existing Campaign audiences. You can also use this page to edit, duplicate, or delete them; and to assign them to campaigns.
Review a Campaign audience
Follow these steps to locate and review an existing Campaign audience:
Locate the audience you’d like to review.
Search by ID or Audience Name.
Filter by Status.
Open the column selector to add or remove a table column.
Select the desired audience ID in the ID column. This will open the audience in a pop-up window, where you can review its details.
Once the Campaign audience features a Ready status, you can review additional details.
Review the audience’s Reach, Cost (CPM), and Status in the summary panel.
Review each campaign and its details in the table.
Select Done to close the pop-up window and return to the Campaign Audience page.
Edit a Campaign audience
More on editing Campaign audiences: Only an existing Campaign audience’s name can be edited. If you’d like to apply changes to the audience’s other settings—such as its source campaigns and data collection period—we recommend duplicating the audience or creating a new one instead. |
Follow these steps to edit an existing Campaign audience’s name:
Select the existing name from the table’s Audience Name column, and type the new audience name directly in the cell.
Click the checkmark icon to confirm your selection.
Duplicate a Campaign audience
Follow these steps to duplicate an existing Campaign audience:
Select the page icon from the desired audience’s Actions column.
Follow steps 4 through 8 of the Create a Campaign audience workflow to name the audience and apply your preferred settings.
If no changes are applied, the duplicated audience will include the same source campaigns and settings as the existing audience, and its Audience Name will show “Copy of” followed by the existing audience’s name.
Select Duplicate to create the duplicated audience.
The duplicated audience will appear in the Campaign Audience table of the Audiences app and feature a Processing status. The original audience will remain unchanged.
Delete a Campaign audience
Audience deletion notice: Note that deleted audiences are unrecoverable, and this action is permanent. As a safeguard, consider duplicating and updating the existing audience to reflect any desired changes. |
You can delete Campaign audiences individually or in bulk. They must feature a Ready, Processing, or Failed status; and their Allowlist/Blocklist count must be 0.
Follow these steps to delete a Campaign audience.
To delete audiences individually, use the Actions column to select the trash can icon next to the individual audience that you’d like to delete
To delete audiences in bulk:
