Generate Targetable Audience, Reach & Impressions, and Bid Landscape forecasts for new and existing campaigns.

Campaign Estimations overview

The Campaign Estimations forecasting feature takes place directly from a campaign. This tool generates projections for the campaign’s Reach, Impressions, and Audience Size based on the targeting parameters that you add to it.

Refer to Campaign Estimations overview to reference the minimum required fields for each forecasting metric to generate, and follow the instructions below to use the Campaign Estimations tool.

Run Campaign Estimations

Campaign creation resources: If this is your first time creating a campaign, we recommend reviewing the Campaign targeting guide and the Create or manage a campaign resource. They provide an overview of each required and optional campaign targeting element, and step-by-step instructions to help you apply the settings that make the most sense for your campaign while following campaign requirements.

Generate forecasts for new campaigns as you build them, or return to in-flight campaigns and generate these insights before you apply changes.

Run Campaign Estimations from a new campaign

Follow these steps to run Campaign Estimations while you add your targeting parameters to a new campaign:

  1. Open the Campaigns app.

  2. Search or filter the table to locate the desired insertion order (IO).

  3. Click the name of the IO. This will open the Insertion Order Info page.

  4. Select + Create Campaign. This will open the Create Campaign pop-up window.

  5. Enter a name for the campaign.

    1. Choose a unique one to differentiate this campaign from others that you may create.

  6. Choose the Campaign Type.

  7. Select Create. This will redirect you to the campaign’s details page, where you can specify key campaign settings and targeting rules, and run Campaign Estimations.

  8. Complete the minimum required fields to generate your desired Campaign Estimation(s).

  9. Locate the left-side panel and select Run Campaign Estimations.

  10. Complete the campaign’s other required and applicable fields.

The Campaign Estimations panel will refresh after you add or update any Campaign parameters that affect Campaign Estimation metric calculations.

Run Campaign Estimations from an existing campaign

Follow these steps to run Campaign Estimations while you apply changes to an existing campaign:

  1. Open the Campaigns app.

  2. Search or filter the table to locate the desired insertion order (IO).

  3. Click the name of the IO. This will open the Insertion Order Info page.

  4. Select the campaign’s name to open its details page.

  5. Follow steps 7 through 10 of the Run Campaign Estimations from a new campaign workflow.

Generate Required Total Budget and Required Total Max Bid

There may be instances where you’d like for the campaign to reach more unique users and/or serve more impressions than what was forecasted in the Reach & Impressions section of your Campaign Estimations.

Follow these steps to generate insights into the Required Total Budget and/or Required Total Max Bid that you’ll need to set to achieve those desired values:

  1. Slide the Unique Reach and/or Total Impression slide buttons to the right until your desired values are shown.

  2. Review the Required Total Budget and Required Total Max Bid fields.

  3. If desired, select Update to apply the required values to the campaign.
