Campaign generation overview
The proposals you create in Political Planner define a single, unified media plan across channels and devices to maximize the reach and impact of your political campaigns. You can easily transition from planning to execution by generating campaigns from your proposals.

Generate campaigns from a proposal
Campaign generation notice: All of a proposal’s campaigns will attempt to generate when you select Generate Campaigns. You can exclude campaigns by deleting them from the proposal. Follow the steps outlined in Delete a proposal's campaigns for step-by-step instructions. |
You can generate a proposal’s campaigns in the following ways:
Generate campaigns from the Proposals tab
Follow these steps to generate campaigns from the Proposals tab of the Planner app:
Open the Planner app.
Select the Proposals tab.
Click Generate Campaigns from the desired proposal’s Actions column.
The proposal’s status will change from Ready to Processing while we work on generating the campaigns, then from Processing to Converted when the process is complete. You can view and manage generated campaigns once they reach a Converted status.
Generate campaigns from within a proposal
Follow these steps to generate campaigns from within a proposal:
Select the Proposals tab.
Select the desired proposal’s name from the Name column. This redirects you to the proposal’s details.
Locate the Campaigns table and review each campaign.
Click Generate Campaigns.
The proposal’s status will change from Ready to Processing while we work on generating the campaigns, then from Processing to Converted when the process is complete. You can view and manage generated campaigns once they reach a Converted status.
Manage generated campaigns
You’ll need to add your creative(s) to your campaigns before you can run them. You can review or manage campaigns that you generated from a Political Planner proposal in the following ways:
Save time with bulk actions: If you plan to apply the same creative to multiple campaigns, assign it from the Creatives app instead. Simply follow the steps outlined in Assign a creative to a campaign. Return to the Campaigns app when you’re ready to run the campaigns. |
Manage generated campaigns from the Proposals tab
Follow these steps to manage generated campaigns from the Proposals tab of the Planner app:
Open the Planner app.
Select the Proposals tab.
Locate the desired proposal, which must feature a Converted status.
Click View Campaigns in the desired proposal’s Actions column. This will redirect you to the Insertion Order Info page of the Campaigns app.
Select a campaign from the Campaign Name column to open its detail page.
Locate and expand the Creative section. The creative formats you chose in your HCP Planner plan are pre-selected.
Click + Select Creatives to add a creative you’ve already uploaded to the Creatives app, or + New Creative to add a new one.
The remaining sections of the campaign automatically include each of the inputs you specified in your plan. You can review and update these items or any other section of the campaign, if desired.
Any changes applied to the campaign will impact the values previously forecasted in your HCP Planner plan.
Select Run to run the campaign.
Manage generated campaigns from within a proposal
Follow these steps to manage generated campaigns from within a generated proposal:
Select the Proposals tab.
Select the desired proposal from the Name column. This will open the proposal and its details.
Click View Campaigns. This will redirect you to the Insertion Order Info page of the Campaigns app.
