SLS report creation troubleshooting
Cannot locate Insights app on homepage
Your IQM homepage includes all apps that your workspace administrator has enabled you to access. Contact yours to request appropriate permissions to access the Insights app.
Insufficient funds
Add Funds notice: Add funds in the Organization app, or contact your organization administrator to complete this process. |
The workflow to generate an SLS report ends with a Generate button that you’ll use to create your report. If your account’s available balance is less than the SLS Cost, this button will prompt you to add funds to your account instead.
You can also add funds from the Dashboard app. Refer to the steps outlined in Adding Funds for further details.
Campaign(s) missing from list
A campaign is excluded from the Campaigns list in the Generate Script Lift Study workflow due to its eligibility or status.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot why a campaign is missing from the list:
Refer to Script Lift Study (SLS) Insights report overview to confirm that the campaign meets all eligibility requirements. Keep in mind that each selected campaign must also belong to the same insertion order (IO).
Check the campaigns’ current statuses. You can generate SLS Insights reports for eligible campaigns that feature a Pending, Running, or Expired status.
Confirm that the Campaign Status you chose in the Generate Script Lift Study workflow matches the status of the desired campaign(s).
The Campaign Status selection narrows the available Campaign field options to only those that feature the status you chose. For example, if you chose Expired, we’ll only make eligible campaigns with an Expired status available in the Campaign field.
To help reduce errors next time, consider generating an SLS Insights report from the Campaigns or Dashboard apps. Unlike SLS Insights report generation in the Insights app, these two workflows will pre-populate the Campaign Status and Campaign fields during setup. Refer to Generate or manage a Script Lift Study (SLS) Insights report for more information on how to generate a report from the Campaigns or Dashboard apps.
Select Campaign is disabled - Insights app
The campaign selector becomes disabled when none of your campaigns’ statuses match the ones you chose in the Campaign Status menu. Refer to the number in parentheses next to each status, which indicates how many of those campaigns are eligible for SLS Insights reporting. For example, Running (0) indicates that zero eligible campaigns currently feature a Running status.
Expired campaigns work slightly differently. The selected campaigns must have expired within the past two years to be eligible for SLS Insights reporting.
Generate Script Lift Study is disabled - Campaigns app, Dashboard app
There may be instances where the Generate Script Lift Study is disabled in the Campaigns or Dashboard apps. The option to generate an SLS Insights report is limited to eligible campaigns only. Refer to SLS Insights report eligibility requirements for more information on requirements.
If the selected campaign(s) meets all eligibility criteria but the button remains disabled, note that, while you can generate insights for an unlimited number of campaigns, you can generate only one SLS Insights report at a time for each campaign. This limitation is to help ensure that you’re charged only once insights that relate to the same set of impressions.
Cannot generate a report - Insights app
You may encounter a warning message or another issue that blocks you from generating SLS data for a particular campaign or set of campaigns. We build in certain blocks to help avoid charging you for highly similar dataset more than once, or generating reports inaccurately.
These blocks typically occur for one of the following reasons:
You can generate only one SLS Insights report at a time for each campaign.
Another SLS Insights report can be generated once the in-progress report(s) display a Ready status on the Script Lift Study page. Refer to Generate or manage a Script Lift Study (SLS) Insights report to learn how to access this page and review a report’s status. You can generate only one SLS Insights report total when you choose the same Lookback Duration and Report Types for the same campaign.
The Generate option will not be available in the Generate Script Lift Study workflow. Instead, you can review the SLS Insights report that you already generated for this campaign, which includes data for the same campaigns across the same Study Duration. Refer to Script Lift Study (SLS) Insights report overview for more details. You no longer have access to SLS Insights reporting.
There may be certain cases where you’ve previously generated SLS Insights reports, but your access is now revoked due to permission changes applied by a system administrator. You won’t be able to generate new insights, but you can continue to access reports you’ve already generated for one year after their creation date.
Campaign Duration field is disabled
We’ll prepopulate the Campaign Duration field after you use the Campaigns field to search and select one or more campaigns. Campaign Duration is not editable, and reflects the earliest campaign Start Date and either the latest campaign End Date or today’s date minus 14 days—whichever took place first. Campaigns that are currently Running will also reflect an End Date of today’s date minus 14 days.
Lookback Duration field is disabled
We’ll automatically enable the Lookback Duration field after you use the Campaigns field to search and select one or more campaigns.
SLS Insights report results troubleshooting
Cannot delete a report
We limit the ability to delete SLS Insights reports to help avoid accidental deletions of paid insights.
The Script Lift Study page of the Insights app displays each of your SLS Insights reports and their statuses: Ready, Processing, and Failed. You can delete any Failed SLS Insights reports either individually or in bulk.
Cannot email a report
The email feature may be disabled for one of the following reasons:
The report’s status is Processing or Failed.
The Script Lift Study page of the Insights app displays each of your SLS Insights reports and their statuses: Ready, Processing, and Failed. You can email any Ready SLS Insights reports.
The report's size is too large.
You can email a report when its file size is less than 25 MB. This limitation is to comply with the file-size restrictions of most email inboxes. You can Download an SLS Insights report of any size.
The Send Email button is disabled.
If you can access the Email Script Lift Study widget, but the Send Email button is not enabled, note that you must complete each field to send the report to the recipients you specified.
If you completed all fields but the button is still disabled, you likely only added one email alias. You’ll need to click anywhere within the Email Script Lift Study window, and outside of the Email ID field, for it to register. This will enable the Send Email button automatically.
Cannot download a report
The Script Lift Study page of the Insights app displays each of your SLS Insights reports and their statuses: Ready, Processing, and Failed. You can download any Ready SLS Insights reports by following the steps outlined in Download an SLS Insights report.
Cannot edit or duplicate a report
The SLS Insights report doesn’t support edits or duplication. You can, however, create a new report with additional campaigns, a longer or shorter Lookback Duration, and/or different Report Types. Refer to SLS Insights report pricing for cost details.
SLS Insights report generation failed
You either encountered a technical error during report generation, or the campaign you selected is no longer eligible for SLS Insights reporting. For example, the campaign may have included an NPI-based Matched audience, but you removed the audience from the campaign while the report was generating. Try again in a few minutes to rule out a technical error, and refer to SLS Insights report eligibility requirements to confirm that you didn't apply any changes that would make the campaign ineligible while report generation was in progress.
Note that, if an SLS Insights report features a Failed status, no SLS Cost will be deducted from the advertiser's account balance.
