Allowlist and Blocklist overview
Allowlists and Blocklists are the rules you establish to determine which ad impressions a campaign is eligible to bid on. These rules relate to various campaign elements such as Locations, Device IDs, Audiences, and more.
Refer to Allowlist and Blocklist overview for more details, or continue reading to add Allowlists and Blocklists to a campaign.
Add Allowlists and Blocklists from the Campaigns app
Follow these steps to add Allowlists and Blocklists to a new or existing campaign from the Campaigns app:
Open the Campaigns app from the homepage.
Choose an insertion order (IO).
Filter or search your campaigns to locate the campaign.
To add targets and blocks to an existing campaign, select its name from the table.
To add targets and blocks to a new campaign, select + Create Campaign.
Completing steps 4 or 5 will open the campaign’s details, where you can specify its targets and blocks.
Allowlist/Blocklist requirements: The elements included in your Allowlists and Blocklists can total up to 500 per section and per campaign. For example, you can add a total of 500 location targets and blocks, and a total of 500 inventory targets and blocks, for the same campaign. |
Audience Allowlist/Blocklist
Refer to Select an audience for your campaign to add the audience(s) that you’d like to target and/or block.
Once you’ve added the audience(s), follow these steps to move them to an Allowlist or Blocklist:
Locate the table featuring each audience name that you added to the campaign.
In the Allowlist/Blocklist column, each audience is automatically added to the campaign’s Allowlist.
You’ll know that the audience is added to the Allowlist when the toggle is switched to the right and shown in green.
Click the toggle to add an audience to the campaign’s Blocklist.
You’ll know that the location is successfully added when the toggle moves to the left and changes to red.
Save your changes to apply the new Allowlist and/or Blocklist settings to the campaign.

Refer to Choose the target location for your campaign to add the specific geos that you’d like to target and/or block.
Once you’ve added the locations, follow these steps to move them to an Allowlist or Blocklist:
Locate the List of Targeted Locations panel.
Select the expand arrow next to any location.

Inventory Allowlist/Blocklist
Follow these steps to move ad inventory to an Allowlist or Blocklist:
Select + Allowlist or + Blocklist in the Inventory section to specify the inventory that the campaign should target or block.
Upload or paste Android package names, iOS Apple IDs, and/or site domains into the appropriate Android Package Names, iOS Apple IDs, and/or Site Domains field.
When you add more than one name, ID, or domain, separate them by either using a comma or selecting enter on your keyboard to place each item on its own line.
Select Add.
The + Allowlist and + Blocklist buttons are replaced with View Allowlist or View Blocklist buttons once you add any inventory targets or blocks.
Review a summary of the Allowlist and/or Blocklist, or select View Allowlist or View Blocklist to manage them.
Save your changes to apply the new Allowlist and/or Blocklist settings to the campaign.
More on inventory Allowlists/Blocklists: You can add Android package names, iOS Apple IDs, and/or site domains to an inventory Allowlist or Blocklist.
An Android package name is a unique identifier for Google Play Store apps and the Android operating system. It distinguishes apps from each other and is typically formatted as a reversed domain name such as “com.example.myapp.”
An iOS app ID is a unique identifier for Apple iOS platform apps, and used for app management, distribution, and more.
A site domain is a unique web address or URL where digital ads are displayed. Each domain represents a specific site or online platform (e.g., example.com and IQM.com). |
Inventory Allowlist/Blocklist - Global Blocklist
There may be one or more types of digital media placements or websites that you’d like to exclude from all of your ad campaigns. This inventory is typically deemed inappropriate due to adult content, hate speech, or misleading information; or feature low engagement or create a poor user experience.
You can add this inventory to a Global Blocklist in the Inventory app to automatically exclude the same set of inventory across each of your campaigns. Refer to How to manage Blocklisted inventories? to create or manage a Global Blocklist.
Advanced Allowlist/Blocklist
You can use an Advanced campaign’s Advanced section to add specific device IDs and internet protocol (IP) addresses to an Allowlist or Blocklist.
Follow these steps to add device IDs and/or IP addresses to an Allowlist or Blocklist:
Select Allowlist or Blocklist toggle switch in the Advanced section. This will expand the section to include the Device IDs and IP fields.
Upload or paste the IDs or IP addresses into the appropriate field.
When you add more than one ID or IP address, separate them by either using a comma or selecting enter on your keyboard to place each item on its own line.
Save your changes to apply the new Allowlist and/or Blocklist settings to the campaign.
Add Allowlists and Blocklists from the Bid Model app
You can manage Allowlists and Blocklists for certain campaign dimensions in the Bid Model app.
Follow these steps to add supported dimensions to an Allowlist or Blocklist for a campaign:
Open the Bid Model app from the homepage.
Choose whether the campaign is Running, Paused, Pending, Paused, Rejected, or a Draft from the status dropdown menu.
Search and select the campaign for which you want to apply Bid Model settings.
A campaign or IO is searchable from the Select Campaign field when two criteria are met: it is eligible for Bid Modeling, and its status matches the one you chose in step 2.
Select a supported campaign dimension category.
Use the Allowlist/Blocklist column to manage targets and blocks for each dimension within that dimension category.
Each listed item automatically added to the campaign’s Allowlist.
You’ll know a dimension is included in the Allowlist when the toggle is switched to the right and shown in green.
Click the toggle to add the dimension to the campaign’s Blocklist.
You’ll know a dimension is successfully added when the toggle moves to the left and changes to red.
