Audience Insights report overview
Audience Insights reports provide a holistic and in-depth view of an audience, including users’ audience characteristics, interests, and behaviors.
You can generate an Audience Insights report if your campaigns meet certain criteria. Refer to the Audience Insights report overview page for more information on eligibility requirements, metrics, and more.
Generate an Audience Insights report
You can generate an Audience Insights report in the following ways:
Generate an Audience Insights report from the Insights app
Follow these steps to access the Generate Insights workflow:
Select the Insights app from the homepage.
Click Audience Insights.
Select + Generate New. This will open the Generate Audience Insights pop-up window.
Search or browse the audience(s) for which you want to generate insights.
An audience is searchable when two criteria are met: it’s eligible for Audience Insights report generation, and it hasn’t previously been used to generate an Audience Insights report.
Select the checkbox next to the audience(s).
Click Generate Insight.
Insights typically generate within a few minutes. You can review and manage them on the Audience Insights page.
Generate an Audience Insights report from the Audiences app
Follow these steps to access the Generate action from the Audiences app:
Select the Audiences app from the homepage.
Click Matched Audience.
Filter or search your audiences to locate the one(s) for which you want to generate insights.
Generate the audience insights individually or in bulk.
If you’d like to generate insights for more than one audience, select the checkboxes next to those audiences and click Generate Insights at the top of the Matched Audience table.
If you’d like to generate insights for only one audience, locate the Insights column and select Generate in the audience’s row.
The Generate option is enabled only for matched audiences that are eligible for Audience Insights report generation.
Insights typically generate within a few minutes. You can review and manage them on the Audience Insights page in the Insights app.
Manage an Audience Insights report
The Audience Insights page displays each of your reports and their statuses: Ready, Processing, or Failed. You can use the Actions column to download or email an Audience Insights report to your device or send it as an email attachment once it’s Ready.
Download an Audience Insights report
Custom logo notice: You can add a custom logo to any Audience Insights report that you download as a PDF file. The logo must be 2 MB or less in size; and saved as a PNG, JPG, or BMP file. |
Follow these steps to download an Audience Insights report:
Filter or search the Audience Insights reports to locate the one you want to download.
Open the Download dropdown menu in the Actions column.
Click Download as PDF or Download as XLSX, depending on your preference.
Download as PDF will open the Download as PDF pop-up window, where you can choose whether the file should feature a default logo or a custom logo that you upload. Click Download PDF to finalize your selections and download the file to your device.
Download as XLSX will immediately download the file to your device.
Email a report
Follow these steps to send a report once to a list of recipients:
Filter or search the Audience Insights reports to locate the one you want to download.
Select the envelope icon from the Actions column.
Click Email as PDF or Email as XLSX, depending on your preference. This will open the Email Audience Insights pop-up window.
Add each email alias into the Email ID field, separated by commas.
If you selected Download as PDF, choose whether the PDF file should feature a default logo or a custom logo that you upload.
Select Send Email.
The email will include a link that the recipients can use to download the report. This link expires 24 hours after you select Send Email.
Delete a report
You can delete any Audience Insights reports. While you can’t recover a deleted report, you can generate the same report again if the source audience was not altered and is still available in the Audiences app.
Follow these steps to delete an Audience Insights report from the Audience Insights page:
Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to download.
Select the checkbox(es) next to the report(s) you want to delete.
Click Delete.
