Generate, manage, or send a report

Create a new report; run, download, duplicate, or delete one you’ve already created; and schedule one-time or recurring email delivery.

Report overview

The Reports app surfaces data and analytics that you can use to assess your campaigns’ performance. Apply these insights to make informed decisions about where to adjust budgets, refine targeting dimensions, optimize ad creatives, and more.

Refer to Reports overview for more information on the campaign metrics and dimensions that you can review in the Reports app.

Generate a report

Select the Reports app from the homepage, then follow these steps to create a new report:

  1. Click + Create Report. This will open the Create New Report page.

  2. Type a name into the Report Name field.

    1. Choose a unique name to differentiate this report from others that you may create.

  3. Search or browse and select a time zone from the Timezone dropdown menu.

  4. Choose a Date Range of up to one year that took place within the past three years, and click Apply.

    1. The past three months are selected by default.

  5. Search by a dimension or metric, or expand a dimension or metric category to browse them.

  6. Select and drag each desired dimension into the Rows field and metric into the Columns field.

    1. Dimension categories are outlined in orange, and metric categories are outlined in purple. Refer to Reports overview for dimension and metric definitions and details.

  7. Click the X icon next to any selected dimensions or metrics to remove them from the report.

  8. Select the funnel icon next to any item in the Rows section to filter the report by those dimensions.

  9. Select the Aggregate toggle switch, if desired.

    1. The Aggregate toggle switch appears after you add one or more filters to the first dimension listed in the Rows section.

  10. Click Execute Report to generate the data.

  11. Select Save Report.

Manage a report

You can manage a report in the following ways:

Review dimensions

You can review the dimensions associated with each of your reports.

Follow these steps to review dimensions:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to review.

  2. Select Dimensions from the Dimensions column. This will open a pop-up window that features the title of the report.

  3. Review the list of dimension tabs on the left panel, and filtered values, if any, on the right panel.

  4. Click Run Now to generate the most up-to-date data across each included dimension.

Run a report

You can run a report to generate the most up-to-date data across each of its dimensions and metrics.

Follow these steps to run a report:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to edit.

  2. Select Run Now from the Actions column. This will open the report, where you can review Aggregated or Daily data and Download the report, if desired.

Download a report

You can Download a report in one of two ways:

Download a report from the Report page

Follow these steps to download a report from the Report page:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to download.

  2. Select the downward-arrow icon from the ID column.

    1. You must hover your cursor over the report row for the icon to appear in the ID column.

  3. Choose to download the report as an XLSX or CSV file, depending on your preference.

Download a report from inside a report

Follow these steps to download a report after you’ve clicked into it:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to edit.

  2. Select Run Now from the Actions column. This will open the report.

  3. Click the CSV page icon to download the report as a CSV file, or the XLSX page icon to download it as an XLSX file, depending on your preference.

Edit a report

Follow these steps to edit an existing report:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to edit.

  2. Select Run Now from the Actions column. This will open the report.

  3. Make any desired changes to the report’s Report Name, Timezone, Date Range, Rows, or Columns fields; and any filters.

  4. Select Update Changes to apply your edits, or Cancel to leave the original report unchanged.

Duplicate a report

You can duplicate a report to create another report with the same parameters, and without carrying over email schedules that you’ve previously defined.

Follow these steps to duplicate a report:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to duplicate.

  2. Select Run Now from the Actions column. This will open the report.

  3. Select the duplicate icon. This will open the Duplicate Report pop-up window.

  4. Type a name into the Report Name field.

    1. Choose a unique name to differentiate this report from others that you may create.

    2. If you don’t update the Report Name field, we’ll automatically name this report “Copy of,” followed by the name of the report that you duplicated.

  5. Click Duplicate Report.

Refer to Edit a report for instructions on updating the report’s dimensions, metrics, filters, and other fields.

Delete a report

Report deletion notice: Consider downloading a report before deleting it as this action is irreversible.

You can delete a report in one of two ways:

Delete a report from the Report page

Follow these steps to delete a report from the Report page:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to delete.

  2. Select the trashcan icon from the Actions menu.

  3. Use the pop-up window to review any warnings and confirm your selection.

Delete a report from inside a report

Follow these steps to delete a report after you’ve clicked into it:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to delete.

  2. Select Run Now from the Actions column. This will open the report.

  3. Select the trashcan icon.

  4. Use the pop-up window to review any warnings and confirm your selection.

Send a report

You can email a report once or set up recurring delivery to a list of recipients.

Schedule one-time email delivery

Follow these steps to send a report once:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to send on a recurring basis.

  2. Select the envelope icon from the Email Scheduled column. This will open the Schedule Email Delivery pop-up window.

  3. Add each email alias into the Recipient Email Addresses field, separated by commas.

  4. Choose to email the report as an XLSX or CSV file, depending on your preference.

  5. Open the Delivery Frequency dropdown menu and select One time now

  6. Select Send.

We’ll immediately send the report to the inboxes of the email alias(es) you entered.

Schedule recurring email delivery

Follow these steps to schedule a recurring report:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to send on a recurring basis.

  2. Select the envelope icon from the Email Scheduled column. This will open the Schedule Email Delivery pop-up window.

  3. Add each email alias into the Recipient Email Addresses field, separated by commas.

  4. Choose to email the report as an XLSX or CSV file, depending on your preference.

  5. Open the Delivery Frequency dropdown menu and select how often we should send this report to the recipients you entered.

    1. Refer to Delivery frequency for more information on each delivery frequency.

  6. Enter when we should stop sending the recurring report into the End Date field.

  7. If you chose a Weekly until frequency, use the second Delivery Frequency field to choose which day of the week to send the recurring report.

  8. If you chose a Monthly until frequency, use the second Delivery Frequency field to choose which day of the month to send the recurring report.

  9. Review the preview next to the information icon to confirm that your selections are correct.

  10. Click the Running Total toggle switch if you’d like each recurring report to use the report’s start date through the most recent report delivery date. Otherwise, each report will include only the most recent day/week/month’s data, depending on the frequency you selected.

  11. Click Schedule to initiate the recurring email delivery.

We’ll send the report once the first recurring date arrives. For example, if you selected Monthly until and Last Day of Month, we’ll send the first report at the end of this month. Refer to Schedule one-time email delivery if you’d like to send the report immediately.

Edit or stop a report schedule

Follow these steps to update the cadence of a report that you previously scheduled for recurring delivery:

  1. Filter or search your reports to locate the one you want to edit.

  2. Select the pencil icon from the Email Scheduled column. This will open the Schedule Email Delivery pop-up window that you used when you first created the email schedule.

    1. You must hover your cursor over the report row for the pencil icon to appear in the Email Scheduled column.

  3. Apply any desired changes to the email delivery recipients, file format, or delivery frequency.

  4. Click Stop Schedule to cancel all future scheduled email deliveries, if desired.

  5. Select Update Changes to apply your edits, or Cancel to leave the original schedule unchanged.
