How to target IAS Fraud & IVT, Brand Safety and Viewability Pre-Bid Segments

In this article, we'll walk you through the simple steps of effectively targeting Integral Ad Science's (IAS) Fraud and Invalid Traffic (IVT), Brand Safety, and Viewability pre-bid segments. With easy-to-follow screenshots, you'll learn how to create audiences and seamlessly integrate them into new or existing campaigns.

Begin by selecting the Audience App labeled “Audiences” on the home screen.

Or you can navigate to the Audiences app from the quick menu icon (9 dot/grid icon) in the top right corner.

In the Audiences app, there are two ways to create a pre-bid audience. The first is to click "Create New" under "All" on the left side of the screen and then select the pre-bid audience.

The second is to click pre-bid audiences on the left side of the screen and then click on "Create Audience."

Provide the audience name and click on "Add Segment." Select IAS → Brand Safety and/or Fraud & IVT and/or Viewability.

Create an audience with either Display segments or Video Segments based on your campaign criteria.

Please note that in the IQM DSP, we support a campaign with only one type of creative: Display, HTML, Video, Audio, or Native. So, even if you select segments of multiple formats, they will not be used in that manner, and you may incur extra charges for your audiences.

Choose the segments you need. The total charges of your segments will be displayed in the top right corner as you add them.

Once you have chosen all the desired segments, verify them on the pre-bid audience pop-up.

Click "Create." You will find the newly created audience in the pre-bid audience table.

You can add this pre-bid audience to new or existing campaigns.

To add this pre-bid audience to a new campaign:

Select the audience you want to add to the existing campaign. Click "Create Campaign" in the top right corner.

Upon clicking, a pop-up appears with the IO details. Choose the IO in which you want to create a new campaign.

Once you choose an IO, click "Create Campaign."

Alternatively, navigate to the Campaign App, select the IO in which you want to create a new campaign, and click the "Create New Campaign" button.

In the new campaign screen, navigate to the pre-bid audience section.

Open the audience drop-down and select the newly created pre-bid audience. All selected pre-bid segments will be populated.

If you want to add, edit, or remove any pre-bid segments, feel free to do so. Updating the pre-bid segments will not affect the pre-bid audience created.

To add this pre-bid audience to an existing campaign:

Select the audience you want to add to the existing campaign. Click "Add to Campaign" in the top right corner.

Upon clicking, a pop-up appears with the campaign details corresponding to their parent IOs. Choose the campaign you want to add to and click "Update."

Alternatively, navigate to the Campaign App, select the IO, and then the campaign you want to edit with the newly created pre-bid audience.

In the edit campaign screen, navigate to the pre-bid audience section.

Open the audience drop-down and select the newly created pre-bid audience. All selected pre-bid segments will be populated.

You can add, edit, or remove any pre-bid segments. Please note that updating the pre-bid segments will not affect the pre-bid audience created.
