IQM MCP overview

Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standardized way for AI applications to connect with external tools and services. With MCP, an AI assistant can access capabilities made available by an MCP server, then use those capabilities to retrieve information or perform supported action.

IQM MCP extends this approach to the IQM platform. It brings specific platform capabilities into an AI-assisted workflow to offer an alternative method for managing your campaign workflow. This approach minimizes the need to toggle between apps to perform supported platform operations. Instead, you can perform supported tasks directly via Claude’s or ChatGPT’s chat interface.

You can set up IQM MCP via custom connectors (Claude) or custom plugins (ChatGPT via developer mode).

Connect to Claude - Written instructions

Follow these steps to connect IQM MCP to your Claude account:

Visit https://claude.ai/new to navigate to Claude and open a new chat.
Select + to open the options menu.
Hover over Connectors.
Click Manage connectors from the Connectors menu. This will open the Connectors pop-up window.
Open the + Add menu.
Select Add custom connector. This will open the Add custom connector pop-up window.
1. If your Claude account is a corporate organization account, you may need to ask an organization owner to add this capability for your team.
Enter IQM MCP in the Name field.
Enter https://mcp.iqm.com/v1/iqm/mcp in the MCP server URL field.
Click Continue.
In the Authentication section, select Sign in now.
In the OAuth client section, select Use Claude’s published identity.
Click Add. This will close the Add custom connector pop-up window.
Select Connect. This will redirect you to a page that confirms whether you’d like to grant Claude access to IQM MCP.
Click Allow access to confirm your selection. This will redirect you to the IQM MCP Server page.
Enter your IQM platform login credentials.
Select Login. This will authenticate your account and redirect you to the Your connectors page, where IQM MCP now appears connected.
Confirm that setup was successful.
1. Open a new chat.
2. Select + to open the options menu.
3. Hover over Connectors.
4. Locate IQM MCP and check that the toggle switch is turned on.

Connect to ChatGPT - Written instructions

Follow these steps to connect IQM MCP to your ChatGPT account:

Visit https://chatgpt.com/ to navigate to ChatGPT and open a new chat.
Click your profile name or initials.
Select Settings. This will open the General pop-up window.
Click Security and login from the left-side panel.
Scroll to the Developer mode section and enable Developer mode.
1. If your ChatGPT account is a corporate organization account (e.g., Business, Enterprise), you may need to ask an organization owner to add this capability for your team.
Select Plugins. This will redirect you to the Plugins page.
Click +. This will open the New Plugin pop-up window.
Enter IQM MCP in the Name field.
Enter https://mcp.iqm.com/v1/iqm/mcp in the Connection field.
Review any warnings and disclaimers, then select the I understand and want to continue checkbox to agree.
Click Create.
Select Connect from the IQM MCP page. This will open the Add IQM MCP to ChatGPT pop-up window.
Click Sign in with IQM MCP. This will redirect you to a page that confirms whether you’d like to grant ChatGPT access to IQM MCP.
Click Allow access to confirm your selection. This will redirect you to the IQM MCP Server page.
Enter your IQM platform login credentials.
Select Login. This will authenticate your account and redirect you to the Your connectors page, where IQM MCP now appears connected.
